The Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test is easy to read - unique digital 'smiley face' results

Description

The ClearblueAdvanced Digital Ovulation Test is a breakthrough: not only does it detect the rise in luteinizing hormone (LH), it also monitors the level of another key fertility hormone, estrogen, which increases in the days before the LH surge. Because your partner’s sperm can survive in your body for up to 5 days, you can actually become pregnant by having intercourse during the days leading up to ovulation. By tracking these 2 key hormones, this test is able to typically identify 4 or more fertile days leading up to, and including, the day of ovulation, at least twice as many as any other ovulation tests.**

Annoying

2.0 out of 5.0 by shawn. on April 19, 2017
I've gotten 8 days in a row of "high" fertility and no "peak" apparently, once you get a high it never goes back to low until you hit peak. That information is not in the booklet but on the hotline. The main reading part of the stick cannot be reused since it stays on high forever now. You cannot buy extra test strips, you need to get a whole new kit. Oh, and if you pee for longer than 3 seconds it can skew your results- again, not something mentioned in the booklet
Testing holder is defective right out of the box

When I opened the new package, the testing holder displayed a symbol that showed that the it cannot be used. The testing holder is defective and will not display any other symbols. I have not even used it once!
Too many error readings

3.0 out of 5.0 by Mary A. on June 14, 2017
My first box worked fine. Low, high, then peak. The second box, I have had one low, one high, and three errors. I am not doing anything wrong (the directions are easy to follow), so I don't know what the error is resulting from. At almost $3 per test, and a box with only 10 tests, I'm pretty annoyed to have all these wasted tests.
Defective

1.0 out of 5.0 by Allison Ramirez on March 28, 2018
I read other reviews before buying this and some were negative. I decided to take a chance and purchase this. However, the only reason I am giving this 1 star is because the device I was sent is defective. I was hoping to track my ovulation this cycle but after 3 error tests on 3 consecutive mornings I am frustrated. I followed the directions on the box and inserted the testing strip and waited 5 minutes each day to only get an error message. This device is not cheap and unfortunately I won't be able to track it this cycle because I am not wasting another $30 on this product. To avoid the chances of getting a defective kit I would buy it in store instead of online. If I would have not gotten a defective kit my review would have been positive. Seeing that this has happened to others I would suggest buying a non digital kit as well in case you are sent a defective device so that you don't miss out on your ovulation day.
My OB recommend these since we were trying to convince

My OB recommend these since we were trying to convince. I admit I did not want to spend the money when cheaper ovulation kits were in on the market. Well after no luck I broke down and bought it with no success from the other kits. Low and behold used it one month and we are pregnant. So much easier with the smily face vs deciphering 2 pink lines. I highly recommend and would use again if I ever needed to.
Product works great. However

Product works great. However, keep in mind that you could get the blinking smiley face for more than 4 days bride getting the solid smiley face. If this happens, you could end up using the whole packet before getting the high peak notification.
Great product when used properly

I ordered these a little later than I should have, so I didn't start testing until I received them on CD 11 (package insert recommends starting to test on CD 8 for a 28 day cycle. That being said, this product works great when you fully read and understand the instructions. I'm still nursing my 22 month old son and just had my first postpartum period at the beginning of January, so I was really unsure if I was going to ovulate at all. On cycle days 11, 12, 13, and the morning of day 14 were empty circles (least likely to get pregnant). When I came home from work that night I figured why not, I'll test just to see what I get and it ended up being a solid smiley! Obviously we did the deed a few days before and after cd 14. I stopped testing after that, which is what they recommend, plus the holder locks out with the smiley for 48 hours to indicate your two most fertile days. I was due to start again last Saturday but after a few negative HPT's I decided to wait for awhile. I tested 3 days after my missed period and got a very faint positive result! This product worked well for me and I highly recommend it. It definitely takes the guess work out of trying to interpret the lines on standard OPK's. Don't try to analyze the lines on the test sticks, since it measures LH and progesterone they cannot be interpreted like a regular ovulation test. And like I mentioned, make sure you read the instructions!
I did not receive a discount or any compensation to write this review.
I looked at the lines and the test line was pretty smeared.

I am very confused. This is my third time using these. The first two cycles I tested with first morning urine only to go from low fertility to peak. The next cycle I decided to test at 11:30 am every day with not peeing or drinking anything from 9:00am-11:30. I started on cycle day 7 (Thursday) since I have a 23/24 day cycle and got low fertility. I then tested on cycle day 8 (Friday) and got a high flashing fertility. I then tested again at 5:00 holding my urine since 1:00 and limited water intake and got peak. I looked at the lines and the test line was pretty smeared.. after drying it looked pretty faint. Alongside using these I am using the sticks you dip in urine which have not gotten equally dark thus I have not ovulated and its now Monday.. 3 days since I got peak. I am very confused and not happy with these tests.
Highly recommend if you are trying to conceive

Clearblue Easy Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests are great! They easily identify your most fertile days so you are not left staring at an ovulation stick wondering "is this like darker than that line?"

Once you receive the "peak" smiley (not flashing), the applicator freezes on the smiley for 2 days (because you no longer need to test that month). The first time this happened, I thought it was broken and threw it away. But I learned that it clears after 2(ish) days and you can reuse with your remaining sticks the following month!
Broken before even used

Just opened this package and got the little book symbol. Test can't even be used now. For almost $30 this is a total waste of money. Requesting a refund now.
